Inspect the air side
Dust buildup can restrict airflow and foul surfaces. Check intake areas, filters, fans, and accessible heat exchange surfaces according to the design or manufacturer guidance.

Collection trays, tubing, treatment components, and tanks should remain clean and free from persistent buildup. Replace consumable treatment components on an appropriate schedule.
Track performance
A sudden change in water output can point to different weather conditions, airflow restrictions, cooling problems, or maintenance needs. Recording humidity, temperature, run time, output, and energy use makes troubleshooting easier.
